In Nov 2019, at the stunning Sefton Park Palm House, we held our very first awards night to celebrate our young people’s fantastic achievements.
Our evening was made possible by kind support from the Henry Yates Thompson Trust who this particular year focused their attention on supporting young people’s mental health.
Sefton Park Palm House is the most stunning venue. Please have a look at our pictures to see the beauty of the evening. This was a fabulous excuse for our young people to dress up and feel proud of the everything they have accomplished.
We were honoured to have Paul Walmsley (Inside Connections and The Lewis Dunne Foundation), Paul Barber (Brighton and Hove FC) and Michael Branch (Everton in the Community), Ben Raikes (University of Huddersfield and INCCIP) and Sarah Beresford (Prison Reform Trust) as our guest speakers for the night.
Every child in attendance was honoured at the event. Awards were given out for bravery, creative writing (many of children are published poet’s in the book ‘Seen and Heard’ published by Waterside Press, Media awards (for speaking out on radio and on the Television), for helping others and for leadership.
